Guwahati, August 2026: Rakta Sanjeevani sent four of its general members to Udyami Udaan, a 10-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) conducted by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Lalmati, Guwahati from 18 to 28 August 2026. IIE is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
The members took part to receive structured entrepreneurship mentorship and to bring that learning back to the communities Rakta Sanjeevani works with. Through ten days of intensive, full-day sessions, they explored how to turn ideas into viable, sustainable businesses.
What the programme covered
- Entrepreneurial foundation and financial literacy: building the right mindset and managing money with confidence.
- Government schemes and institutional support: with a special focus on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and government funding for entrepreneurs.
- Marketing strategies: with emphasis on digital marketing and an orientation on e-commerce platforms.
- AI tools for ease of doing business: practical exposure to AI-enabled business methods.
- Business planning: preparing a business plan and writing a Detailed Project Report (DPR).
- Export fundamentals and legal compliance: essentials every new entrepreneur should know.
Participants also benefited from industry mentor sessions with expert faculty and opportunities to network with practising entrepreneurs.
Why this matters for Rakta Sanjeevani
Our livelihood work, from handloom and handicraft to skill training, depends on helping people move from skills to self-employment. By building entrepreneurship capacity within our own members, we strengthen our ability to guide trainees, artisans and women’s groups as they start and grow their own enterprises.
A token of gratitude
As a mark of respect and appreciation, Rakta Sanjeevani honoured all the faculty members and Skill Cell office staff of IIE with a gift from the organisation: a Rakta Sanjeevani diary-and-pen set in a branded gift box. We sincerely thank IIE, its faculty and the Skill Cell team for their guidance, warmth and support throughout the programme.
From ideas to enterprises: building self-reliance, one entrepreneur at a time.
