When devastating floodwaters submerged villages, cut off critical roads, and displaced countless families during the 2022 Assam flood crisis, Rakta Sanjeevani took to the frontlines to deliver immediate humanitarian relief, rescue assistance, and essential supplies.
Working directly in deeply inundated rural belts, our volunteer network mobilized across submerged terrain to ensure vulnerable communities received vital support when they needed it most.
On-Ground Relief & Crisis Response
Emergency Bunding & Inundation Defense: Volunteers joined hands with local villagers to erect temporary sandbag embankments, fighting rising flood currents to protect village access roads and prevent further residential breaches.
Frontline Rescue & Transit Operations: Coordinating with defense rescue personnel, motorized flood rescue boats were deployed to navigate submerged roads, evacuate marooned villagers, and deliver emergency supplies to cut-off settlements.
Essential Material Distribution: Delivering dry rations, packaged drinking water, bedrolls, and emergency kits directly through waist-deep waters to families trapped in waterlogged homes.
Grassroots Distribution Points: Setting up community distribution camps in local spaces—including community halls and village centers—to organize fair, orderly, and direct distribution of food, apparel, and relief packages to affected women, children, and the elderly.

Resilience in the Face of Adversity
Natural disasters disrupt lives, but community solidarity rebuilds hope. The courage of the affected villagers, the resilience of our frontline volunteers wading through high waters, and the timely coordination with rescue forces exemplified the spirit of collective action.
Rakta Sanjeevani extends its deepest gratitude to every community volunteer, disaster response personnel, and donor who stood united to bring comfort and relief during one of the most testing flood seasons. We remain steadfast in our commitment to disaster preparedness, rapid response, and rebuilding community resilience across Assam.
