True community service begins by reaching out to those often left in the shadows. On January 31, 2022, dedicated volunteers from Rakta Sanjeevani NGO carried out a compassionate clothing distribution drive for destitutes and unhoused individuals residing around Mariani Junction Railway Station.
Winter and changing seasonal weather present severe hardships for marginalized individuals without adequate shelter. This initiative was undertaken to provide direct material relief, warmth, and restored dignity.
Highlights of the Drive
Direct Frontline Outreach: Volunteers visited the vicinity of Mariani Junction, identifying destitute individuals, unhoused families, and children who lacked protective clothing.
Warmth & Essential Wear: Distributed clean, wearable clothes directly to those in acute need to help them cope with harsh weather conditions.
Compassionate Engagement: Beyond handing over apparel, the volunteer team spent time understanding the conditions of the local destitute population, reinforcing our core principle that survival must always be accompanied by human dignity.
